2 Near Misses to Start 2019
Was announced as a finalist in 2 contests to start the year.
Outdoor Photographer Magazine holds an annual contest with some nice prizes.
For 2018, the theme was Nature’s Colors and my image 3 Amigos was announced as one of the 20 finalists. In the end I did not win, but given the finalist collection of images I was honored to have made the cut. You can see the winning images and all 20 of the finalist images here:

The other was for a unique opportunity to have a solo Gallery Exhibition sponsored by Kelby One, the company behind Photoshop User Magazine and Lightroom User Magazine. Again I made the final cut, down to a top 10 for the 2019 Gallery Show but was another near miss.
Even though I am 0 for 2 to start the year, it was nice to be recognized near the top and motivates me to keep trying.
